Field Program Officer
I am Sowjanya, originally from Rajahmundry, Andhra Pradesh. I hold a Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW) from Bhubaneswar and bring over a decade of experience working in the development sector, with a strong focus on child welfare, health, and community development.
My professional journey began with Manab Seva Samaja in Bhubaneswar as a field-level worker. I then served as a Social Worker at Compassion International, followed by several impactful roles at World Vision – including Block Coordinator, Project Lead, and Technical Lead – in maternal and child health programs. Most recently, I was with ChildFund International, where I worked as a Health Lead, WASH Consultant, and Senior Program Officer.
I am married and a mother to a son. I am deeply passionate about working with children and vulnerable communities and remain committed to creating meaningful change at the grassroots level
