A native of Jammu and Kashmir, Ashutosh Sharma writes and reports on human rights, politics, media, environment and culture. He is a freelance contributor for Thomson Reuters Foundation, The Caravan and The Frontline among other media organisations. Previously, he has worked with the National Herald as senior correspondent in New Delhi and Landmine and Cluster Munition Monitor as researcher in Jammu and Kashmir. As part of the fellowship, Ashutosh published a detailed story about the lack of infrastructure, amenities, and public services in the villages along the international border of India and Pakistan.
