Pompy Paul is an independent journalist and researcher. She jointly runs Nouvox Media, a video blog on YouTube to bring about social awareness. As part of the fellowship, Pompy published a report on the viability of the Covid-19 digital vaccination drive among rural youth of Assam. During the reporting, she was helped and mentored by Rohini Mohan.

Online registration and booking of slots not only leave the marginalised behind in the vaccination drive but also disproportionately benefit those with internet access, modern gadgets, literacy, time at hand and an overall better socio-economic status. “Online booking is done to taunt the poor like us,” concluded Taj Uddin Laskar. “We can barely afford to live.”
