Dr. Sanjay (Xonzoi) Barbora is an associate professor teaching sociology and social anthropology at the School of Social Sciences and Humanities at the Tata Institute of Social Sciences, Guwahati Campus. He has published several journal articles, book chapters and analyses on agrarian change, human rights, media, borderland studies and the impact of big data in the social sciences, and co-authored the books ‘Land, People and Politics: Contest over Tribal Land in Northeast India’ and ‘Modernisation and Women's Status in Northeast India: A Comparative Study of Six Tribes’. He listens to online and conventional radio everyday for therapeutic purposes.
