Meet the Second Cohort of ASRIP
Abhijit Sen Rural Internship programme (ASRIP) intends to sensitise undergraduate and post-graduate students towards the rural economy and the challenges faced by rural communities in the country and to promote rigorous academic scholarship.
The 45-day internship provides an opportunity to the students to visit rural areas, interact with the rural community, and understand their social and economic conditions and challenges. During their stay in the village, interns will be supported by local community organisations working in those areas.
Here are the names of the students who are part of the second cohort of the internship programme.
Aaisha is from Kushinagar (Uttar Pradesh), currently pursuing BA Honors in Sociology at Banaras Hindu University.
Abhijeet Kumawat is from Indore (Madhya Pradesh), currently pursuing M.sc Economics (with major Financial Economics) from Gokhale Institute of Politics and Economics, Pune.
Abhijeet Pratap Sen is from Sagar (Madhya Pradesh), currently majoring MBA (Business Management) program at Dr. Harisingh Gour Central University, Sagar.

Amina Naeem Shaikh is from Bhiwandi (Thane). She is currently in her first year at MGM Biomedical College in Navi Mumbai, pursuing a BSc in operation theatre and anesthesia technology.
Ananya Patel is from Dhanbad (Jharkhand), currently pursuing an MSC in Applied Psychology from OP Jindal Global University.
Angelina Marndi is from Mayurbhanj (Odisha), currently pursuing final year Post Graduation in Anthropology and Tribal Studies at Maharaja Sriram Chandra Bhanja Deo University Baripada, Odisha.
