Srishti Jaswal in an idependent journalist. She has written on a variety of subjects, such as starvation deaths, rural connectivity, maternal health, drug abuse, human rights and governance for national and international publications including Vice World News, Al Jazeera etc. A report by her on the third-degree torture subjected to inmates at the drug rehab centres in Himachal Pradesh lead to formal investigation and closure of such centres. As part of the fellowship, Srishti published a report on the problems with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s grand crop insurance scheme.
